QUESTION: Server capacity?

Square-Enix, May I know what is the current capacity for each servers at the moment?

Also, you mentioned about increasing the server capacity, how much more are you going to increase?

Whatever it is its' not high enough. Either that or the JP worlds are down but Kujata has been extremely quiet the last couple days and now im just getting server full with no ques and its not peak in japan they should be in bed by now.

beta phase 4 they had around 150,000 logins all at once. They also had 50 servers. take 150,000/50 and you get: 3000. That is not saying each server had the same amount. Originally the dev team said these servers were suppose to be rated around 5000 concurrent logins at a time. Are we seeing 5k numbers per server? I highly doubt that but have no fact to base that on since SE keeps those numbers close to the belt. I just do not believe we have 5k on each server. Perhaps Yohsida would like to post something on jp twitter so we can have some hard numbers? Always a pleasure. Take care.

Just did a survey searching for players by level and added it up on my server. About 3300 online at the moment. Unsure if logins are locked right now.

Sorry to say this, but the numbers being thrown around are at best incorrect. Everyone seems to be talking "server" as one machine, and not "world" as a cluster of servers.

Back in Alpha, Yoshi P stated that each zone can reside on its own server, with the instances being shared/load balanced off to an instance cluster. With this as a given, the result that can from the Alpha test was that one zone can handle about 1000 players doing mob combat. This was later then readjusted in beta 1 when he cranked up the FATEs, and again further adjusted in phase 2.

Now, I didn't get a chance to explore the whole ARR world yet, but lets assume each region having 5 zones, then we are talking about 25-30 zones (aka servers). So purely based on numbers, a given world can handle 20-30K users.

How many players is each world currently configured for? No one knows other then SE.
