[dev1034] What ARE companies, though?

After reading the post on the lodestone today, almost everyone on a popular MMO discussion website, including myself, are more confused now than ever. Is this a rep grind? Will players not be able to create anything, as once promised before?

I hope we get more info as to what this is because with it sitting like it is now, it is doing more harm than good. I would have preferred if no information was released over the teaser that was released today, as once again, it feels kind of underwhelming (at least with what we are given so far).

Does anyone have any idea?


edit - well it looks like I didn't post this in the right spot...

I agree they really led us on thinking that they would give us ACTUAL info as to what companies are and then instead giving us some background (which is kinda interesting but not what I wanted). They should have told us that it was either historical info or not giving it to us at all because they kinda pulled the rug out from under us.
