Pre-ordered for what?

So the main appeal for a lot of people who preorder is the advanced access to have a jump start on the other people. However in the 3 days before the official launch there have been numerous disconnects, shut downs for maintenance, and then the inability to get online. You would think they would have pushed their servers harder during open beta given the amount of preorders. When is my purchase going to be worth it because right now I seriously regret shelling out the money for this game!
