At what point do they realize this launch failed?
P4 Beta, played 20 mins before 90000 error into 3102, never was able to log back in. Early access, dc'd twice within 20 mins of starting to 90000 errors, straight into servers are full. Never got to log in after first login for all 3 days of EA. Well, it's launch day, and everyone with their heads up their asses said SE would have the problem fixed, cause there would be no way SE would blow it. And yet here we are, staring at the exact same error I've seen for the past 3 days.
So tired of reading these forums and the people who believe SE can't do any wrong at all jump in every thread and say the game is better without you. No it's not. The game fails and goes the route of 1.0, f2p for 6 months followed by another reboot/rehaul, which turned into a full reboot.
It's funny how they just say it's a typical MMO launch, when it's not even close. Aion had a few problems and they took servers on/offline a few times, things got fixed. Rift went off w/o a hitch, sure some events got out of control and wrecked havoc into certain towns, but the game was still playable. I don't even remember a crash for Tera, game was pretty stellar launch day. GW2 had a few hiccups, but was still playable compared to xiv.
Alienating 1/3 to half your users is not typical, pretending you're doing everything you can while not doing a damn thing, is not typical. Locking servers without a queue and ignoring and not even responding to your tech forums, that's just being lazy and showing you've got no clue what to do.
This launch has been a failure, there's no denying it at this point. Between the refunds, and the word of mouth the game is getting, it's going to be worse than it was after 1.0. Why? Cause atleast 1.0 WORKED.
