World/server full

T played in the PS3 open beta and bought the game sunday night. When i go to log in with my character i get an error message that say the world is currently full please try again later. Does anyone now why this is happening?

Because the world/server is full.

Today is 27th for game to come out and servers are full. You only fixed the problem did not make the NA/EU worlds bigger by putting more space for people. Put more space for people on the worlds or started moving people it's really easy fix. World of war Craft had this problem too it's so a simple fix.

so what i cant play until a spot opens up?

Sadly, no. You can try rolling on a different server, but as far as I'm aware there are no notifications anywhere about what servers aren't full. So... yeah... you just have to keep trying and hope for the best, and it sucks.

Full explanation, your server has reached its maximum for total population, example total say of 10,000 players. Wait times here can be much more frustrating to create a new character because you must wait until people delete their toon to free up space, which can be forever looking at you Gilgamesh, Leviathan, Moogle servers.

Then if you cant log-online, its because out of those 10,000 players, 8 thousands odd players are playing simultaneously, so you must wait till some of them log off the server so you can log in. These waits can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours.

from what im reading tho is it true that they are lifting all restrictions at midnight?

I haven't heard that, all I've seen is a bunch of "sorry for the inconvenience" and no ETAs at all. Do you have a link?

At least Blizzard had queues. Tired of clicking START >> Select Character >> OK >> World Server Full >> OK. Rinse and repeat.
