Question about CE code

I know the 20 digit code is the free 30 days, but i was wondering, if i add the code and then do the 180 day sub, would i have to wait until after my 30 day free time is up before i get the items or no?

Seeing as people already got the 3 month sub mounth, im guessing you get the items at once ^^

Actually i don't know what this 20 digit code is for, the PSN code for the CE items comes with the 30 days, add even adding a payment to my account for 180 days, it's not charging me.

I got 2 codes, a 20 digit one and a 18 digit one, used the 20 digit and got my CE edition items and the 30 days free trial but I'm still wondering what's the other 18 digit code for, anyone know? :(
