my friend is having troubles after installing with a CD, and trying to update the patch in the launcher, he gets about 100-300 mb's downloaded then gets disconnected from the server with the error; the server is not responding 30413, 10009, 10019
any help would be appreciated could not find any help to this anywhere

I've had trouble patching, if you were in the beta, uninstall it. And or , turn off firewall, anti virus etc. Some people have had luck by going to the mydocuments/mygames/FF.../downloads/ffxipatch and deleteing everything there to restart the download.
I've done that a few times, but something about patch 4e9a232b that's won't load, I download it completely, and then nothing, done this 4 or 5 times now. At this point , I'm torrenting a completely patched version of the game and going to copy that over to my install directories.
Where did u get the torrent from? can u post the link?
