A rough idea to tie in cooking as something sought after

Hi all,

I rarely post idea's but this one seems fun and I wanted some opinions. So we all know that food as of right now is not that incredibly important and I am sure that will change to be more along the lines of FFXI.

In addition to that what if culinarians could prepare a ritual feast or celebration for an entire party, which would give a large stat bonus for a long duration of time. It would be great for buffing before leve parties, NM hunting, etc. etc. It also adds to the social aspect of the game. You could also tie in DoW/DoM to kill a beast for the feast, DoL to collect other needed items like fire wood, grains for booze :D etc.

Food would be fine if mobs were stronger(and maybe food too, miqabobs are a nice noticable ACC boost but I can't really tell the difference with other foods. If mobs were strong, you'd want food. Food was amazing in FFXI because mobs were strong and you could tell a HUGE difference between no food and food. Bring that back imo.

I find getting the supplies to cook food hard. Even if I can find the ingredients they are overpriced. I would like to see the dev's add ingredients to npc's to sell more. I am not finding alot of supplies in the wards either. It feels much harder to be a cook here then in 11 to me. I also don't see much difference when I eat food and when I do not. I don't know how they could remedy this though.

Ok, assuming that food worked and was benificial, do you think the idea of a large group buff as I stated above would be fun?

Yeah I like the gathering wood, killing beasts, etc to make the feast. That's cool.
