Path to Glory?
I just started playing and I'm curious on how getting a job works. I'm playing a Pugilist and it says I need to be level 30 and level 15 as a Lancer before I can be a Monk. What's the best way to do this?
1) Get to level 10 Pugilist, switch to Lancer and back at 15.
2) Get to level 30 Pugilist, switch to Lancer and do the Monk quest at 15.
3) Get to max level Pugilist before I switch.
4) Something I haven't thought of.
What's the most efficient method?

im thinking the same thing! i want to know the best way to do it

get main class to 30, THEN switch to other class.
You get bonus XP from kills and fates for the class you're playing...IF you have a class thats currently higher level then it.
So having a lvl 30 main class means that you'll hit 15 on an alternate class MUCH faster.

As you level up your first character leave some of the side quests for your second class to level up with. that will help a lot. And yes it is reccomended to do your first class all the way up to 30 first and then the second. And remember to log off in a Sanctuary or rest area to get double EXP for a while when you log back in. Also helps always to log out, rather than to go AFK, for everyone.

Thanks, good info.
A second question, are you limited in how many classes you can have, or can you theoretically do every class on one character?

Although not 100% sure. I think you now need Maruader also to lvl 15. I just finished my monk quest, but I had my char with PUG 30.LNC 15, MRD 15, and I also have GLD at 15 but that's for me to get the warrior job. As far as the poster said about saving quests. unless you plan on just grinding instances or mobs you will need to do all the local quests as you follow your story line to 30. ATM I feel there is a lack of quests for second classes to level on.

there is a lack of quest for secondary classes to level on. that is why they give XP boost for mob kills, and fates. group up and mob kill chains for amazing fast level up. run fate groups, or do hests and leves.
