Surely you guys are stressed out trying to fix all the complaints with the game, come out with new content, AND keep the community involved and happy.
So here is an idea to take care of two of your problems.
Have community contests. Little contests where, say you need a new quest or armor set, you can have the community help by setting up a contest where the players could write you a quest line story or design you a new set of armor or weapons or monsters or whatever you want.
Then you look through the entries and pick your favorite ideas or designs and the winner gets their content implemented into the game.
Once the game is pay to play again you could give the winners say a free month or something like that. And you could give them bragging rights in the forum of say metals or trophies on the loadstone so that when people go to their character page they can look through all the winning entries they have had and see what they have designed.
It would be a great way to get new ideas for content for a cheap price as well as show the community that you really are listening to their ideas and trying to keep them and their opinions involved in going forward.

But this idea is to help the development team and help players feel like their contributions to the community are seen/heard. Because while it would be fun to win a contest like what you mentioned, there probably could be no better honor for a fan of a game like this than to have his work put into the game! I mean I feel that there could be no better feeling than designing a sword or something in the contest and then using it in battle knowing that I was the one who designed it.Quote:
