Error 1017... for 8 hours straight (Make Sub Servers!)

Yesterday I was spamming log on, taking turns with my brother, to see how long it would take to get in. It took 8 hours to get in, and by then I had to go to work so I couldnt play anyways.

A good solution would be sub servers, extra servers that will be merged at a later date when population goes down. Or when the population maxes a sub server opens carrying the overload.

Most games are doing subservers now, so I dont see why FFXIV isnt if this is a 'reborn' launch. So far all I see is that you're trying every way to prevent people from communicating their issues with eachother... Everyone knows this launch is a failure. Just try to fix it...

Goblin Server, Goblin2 Server. This will give the flood some time to even out and people to settle. Once population goes down (which can be up to a month as after the release many people will opt out of doing the monthly payments. You can merge the overflow servers.
