Navigation and Maps

Hi guys,

Just wondering , Is anyone going crazy over the lack of easy navigation in this game?? I may have just been spoilt in previous mmos..but it feels like this map/quest tracking and navigation to quests is 5 years old.

Getting from one zone in town to another to complete a quest could be SO much simpler with an arrow at your feet. I am new to the game and learning to navigate the maps sometimes feels like running a maze and is really frustrating me.

Not having a cry, just wondering if there is anyone else that is frustrated with this also.

Not at all, I've played so many MMOs that I don't have any problem adapting myself to different systems. You will get used to it soon. When you're lost with a quest, read it or track it (map buttom). If you don't have that point on your map, check for nearby locations.

Yea, I think ive just been spoiled rotten from games with arrows. I am struggling with the layout of the instanced towns tho. Limsa Lominsa and its dead ends are making my post work game session very frustrating. Anyway, ill suck it up. thx for the respone.

I think you'll get used to it. If you find minimap to small just use the main map instead and place / size /zoom it to your liking. You can run / walk while the map is on as it becomes transluscent so taht could help in some situations as well. Also - sometimes it's usefull to change the default map zoom to be more relevant to the task at hand.

The map is quite accurate, but I do hope they polish it up a bit - sometimes I can't tell if my quest objective is at point A or out a gate...
