Have fun in Dzemael Darkhold. I recommend you do this with a group of friends or FC. It's a very fun dungeon, but it's gonna be an interesting first run.
It'll be "Easy" once you get the hang of it like anything else, but it's no cakewalk. I'm not worried about difficulty scaling anymore. It's there.

people who talk about how easy the content is are likely low level. i personally am more concerned about endgame difficulty not leveling difficulty. hell in both wow and ffxi it was easy to level just time consuming.

well i try that dungeon also was rly fun :) but we couldnt kill the ogre is ther a trick or we have to run from red circles? whm couldnt run from them and she died alot

U CAN NOT RUN THROUGH this dungeon and skip mobs now. The Ogre was fun because u had to scurry like mice during the add assault .Quote:

The dungeon was indeed fun, but I've gotta say... I think the most challenging thing about it was the way that ground markings on the ogre fight didn't seem to matter at all. While tanking (PLD) with the boss facing away from the group, I'd see a healer on the opposite side of the room get hit with his frontal cone attacks. I would run straight forward through the boss the moment that the ground beneath me turned red, and I'd still get hit for 1k. The lot of us were avoiding all of the adds' fireballs... or so the ground on our screens said, which always seemed to disagree with our actual battle logs. Anybody else experience this?

Also worth mentioning for people who have a hard time here, after wiping to the ogre's lagged out floor markings six times on my first run, we had five minutes left on the clock and had given up hope of clearing the dungeon. We stopped taking it as seriously and for one last try we decided -- me as the tank included in this "strategy" -- to just run in circles non-stop for the duration of the entire fight. with the healer only stopping long enough to get a spell off. To our surprise, it worked, and we won. In fact, it didn't just work -- it worked way too well, and made the entire fight seem trivial. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining the effect that this had on the difficulty, I tried letting one of the DDs (they were two lancers) take hate for the last 90 seconds of the fight. They never even fell below half HP. Went in with a second group after that, suggested we try the scattered mice approach again, and we won again on our first attempt.

Also for those of you who might missed it , there was an interview with yoshida at gamescom where he predicted that only about a 100 people will kill bahamut before patch 2.1.

So if yoshi makes such bald claims , i dont think there is any need to wory about difficulty. Atleast in the endgame that is.
