Auto sort does not appear to work in game when turned on? My inventory bags and retainer bags do not auto sort to put in order, sort by name a-z, sort to similar stacks.

It doesn't work like that. I wish. If you turn it on, it will attempt a basic sort on items obtained after activating the feature. It will not sort anything already in your bags.
