This is the "Why the game is still great" topic.

There are a few base bugs, that are really knocking the player,
out of being able to appreciate, what actually IS functioning.
So I'd like to concentrate on that.

We have some of the most beautiful scenery, I have ever seen in a game.
We have a very extensive job system and a fleshed out quest line, for each job and advanced job.
We have an excellent crafting, gathering and marketing system.
We have a main quest line, with a nice story and solid production values.
We have a fun battle system.
We have a very intuitive and customizable UI/HUD/Controls.
We have some seriously cool looking weapon skills and effects.
We have AI that seems competent and Intelligent.
We have some pretty sweet looking gear.
We have pets and mounts.
We have multiple ways to battle and level up: Leves, Fates, Dungeons, all of which seem fun to me so far.
We have "end game for now" primal battles and weapon drops, befitting a fun fight.
We have a HUGE community..

So even though some of us are upset..
We are all human.. Just try to relax and wait for the better times..
I promise you, they are coming.

The game IS great, which makes it frustrating when we can't play it =)

Solace, just curious, would you happen to also be from XI, on Odin, not currently but once upon a time?

Love the game, they just need to add more servers for the NA/EU regions. They obviously let in way more people than what the servers could handle. :P

Once you're in and playing the game itself is great.

I share your sentiments!

I'm trying to brush this whole issue off with some comic relief. Certainly better than raging, moaning and b*tching all day. :)
