Horrible Artifacting
I played ffxiv fine yesterday, but today, both times I have gotten on I had terrible artifacting. None of my other 20+ games artifact at all, just final fantasy. My GPU is not overheating, and it isn't overclocked. I noticed that the game was set to full screen, but was in a window, so I changed it to borderless window, and it still happened.
Going to try reinstalling the video card drivers, but other than that, i'm out of ideas.

Are you running any programs which provide overlays. I know teamspeak overlay can cause issues for some people

only other program I am running is Skype, ill try it with it turned off, if I ever get back in.
-
did you try running it in true full screen too?
Make sure the dimensions are no larger than your screen's native resolution too, not sure if they're capturing that exception to prevent you from setting something like 1920/1200 on a 1920/1080 screen.
Depending on exactly what you're seeing, it could simply be wonky effects. My ATI 4870 did NOT like Cascading Shadows. Made all kinds of tears in the screen when they rendered. Also hide shadows for everyone and turned off glare points. Made that older XP system run upwards of 50 FPS everywhere.

Yes, I am staying within my resolution. I'm starting to think it might actually be Skype, because last night when I played I didn't have it on and it was fine. Just hope I don't have to redownload the client or worse yet, reinstall windows.
On the launcher its fine, on the character select screen its fine, but the moment the game loads up, it goes ape sh*t.
Oh, and I just checked the benchmark program, just to make sure it wasn't my video card, and it ran fine. I think it might be one of the patches for ffxiv that came out since yesterday or something, cause it worked fine then.
