[dev1017] A few ideas on synthesis and repair
Synthesis
*Grey out local levequests not applicable to current skill (like regional ones not applicable to aetheryte) to reduce scrolling
*Provide a search-as-you-type style display window from a database of collected recipes that will provide options as you enter items into the adjacent synthesis window and display materials screen upon hovering over/moving cursor to and eliminate more steps in the crafting setup process
*Further to the above: recipes could become something collected by rank quests or gil from each guild? (i.e. as you grow in rank you buy/quest for the next lot of recipes in that level range)
*Combined synthesis function between crafters, encouraging group style crafting and also the ability to allow a 2nd crafter to compensate for another's lack of "sub-craft" on standard recipes
*Remove guild mark rewards from local levequests and introduce an XI-esque guild item of the day in exchange for guild marks to remove excess items and gil from the economy and promote a more diverse approach to crafting (Growth formula anyone?)
Repair
*Allow the itemholder to offer both items and gil as a reward and the ability to provide the repair item/pool of repair items for the repair synth. This will increase the amount of potential repairers (very often I have come across bazaars with items I could repair but didn't have materials for because I'd had to swap so many items around in inventory)
*Change the seek repair icons to reflect what type of crafter is required, making it quicker to have a visual indication (maybe colour coded so multiple tabs can be added for multiple items and required crafts?)
*Add /sea or /search already (Player search function) to enable players to find crafters of certain levels and to show crafters who is looking for repairs. Enable players to choose to show their position (13, 12) or "/tell" next to their name in search results to show someone immediately where to find them for repairs, or to show they need to arrange it as they are engaged in something, or wish to deal more personally or whatever (search comments [/seacom] would also be useful)
*Grant greater SP yields from repair of items, maybe with respect to rank but a nice beefy amount across the board would definitely provide further incentive to crafters to repair and grant faster access to repairs for itemholders
