Sorry, but this whole NA/EU has separate data centers than JP has me wondering if we will be having separate perks as well?
Are the JP servers going to get special treatment over the NA servers a few years from now? Are we going to be seeing the same content on all servers? Or are JP servers going to get GM type events, and special treatments.
Are we equal to them?
the level of support for the JP servers will be seen as more of a sense of honor and duty for SE then the us counter parts who just go in and get a paycheck so yeah it will be.
As evident by the Perfect running experience on the JP servers and no Errors / posts in the tech forum
I think someone else brought this up in a newer post, but I think it's very odd that Japan (a tiny island of 128 million people) gets 25 servers. And North America and Europe (with a combined population of 1169 million people) gets.... 25 servers. How can you call that equal exactly? Even if the ENTIRE population of Japan played FFXIV (which is doubtful), that's 10% of the combined population of North America and EU, and that's not even counting the rest of the world! We're talking about 6.9+ billion if the rest of the world is sharing the NA/EU servers. Granted, I'm sure ALL those people don't play FFIV, but do not kid yourself that this is in any way equal.
If it were equal, by SE's logic (25 servers for 128 million people), at the VERY least, NA/EU (just going off the combined populations of those two continents) should have 228 servers. And if 50 servers are enough for the world, Japan should only have 1 of those 50.
