How are people so high level already?

Since the Early Access, I have only been able (due to all this maintenance) to play a few hours and I'm only level 6! lol

I see people posting here in their 30's, 40's and beyond already! Is it really that easy to level in this game?

Some are legacy and some played in phase 4 beta

....Oh! They get to keep their levels and not have to start over, I assume?

Yes, they also get other benefits due to paying to play the last few months before shutdown.

Legacy servers contain chracters that may already be at level cap and have all of the gear, because they are from the previous iteration.

Everybody kept their stuff.

Thanks, guys! I am new to MMO's. I never played Final Fantasy XI or the original XIV. Is that what they mean when they refer to "1.0's"?

I saw a Scholar on a non-legacy server right before the midnight maintenance..

Actually some of us were in phase 4 of beta. That's why certain people are up high in level. The level cap in beta phase 4 was 20.

I am a legacy member and that is why I have lv 50 monk, paladin, and bard. I took a break from 1.0 otherwise I would have a lot more lv 50s. And do to the fact, I played before their are some items that wont be on 2.0 that only legacy members will have.
