How does copy and paste work? ...It works?

Good evening.

Yesterday when I returned to Eorzea I had no problems at copying and pasting text in Google with CTRL+C and had a nice conversation with a new japanese adventuress on a bench in Limsa Lominsa. :) But later that evening and today as well, it doesn't work anymore.
I thought I edited something by mistake in the Config, so I reset everything to Default, but still I can't copy the text in the chat log. I can copy and paste it from the chat log to the chat log, but not from the chat log to Google.
I can copy and paste from Google to Eorzea, but not from Eorzea to Google.

This feature is important, because my server and my linkshell are japanese, and I don't understand hiragana so much, and so I need to copy the text in the chat log and paste it in Google translate like I did in version 1.0.

It might be a bug, but before filing a report I thought I could ask here if maybe someone else is having the problem or knows how to overcome it.
