Fish out of Water

I'm wondering if the quest is bugged, or has a typo. All I'm catching with sandworms are sandfish, dustfish and storm riders, as well as dune mantas via mooching. There seems to be one other fish that can be caught, but it gets away every time. Has anyone so far caught a Desert Catfish?

update: I finally caught one, there is a typo in the quest. The fishing location is to the EAST of Byregot's Strike, not the south. The area you want is labeled Sagolli Dunes in your fishing log.

yeah, I had the same issue, Literally caught EVERYTHING in the south, was really confused. Moved around a lot, found the spot in the easy and after a short while, got one

I have been trying to catch this one also. Are you sure it's to the East because the only place labeled in my fishing log is to the West just below Forgotten Springs. Is there more than one Sagolli(?) fishing spot? I have been trying for hours....

Nevermind! I did find it to the East of Byrgot's Strike just like you said! This thread was very helpful because I could not figure out why I couldn't catch this fish when it said to fish SOUTH of Byrgot's Strike.

Hey what are u guys doing with the fish... I have soo many in my inventory... selling them is only like 3-10 gill ( maybe not even that much) please help a new fisher out...I really like fishing but I need room more then fish right now lol lol

Since I don't have a high enough lvl to post on the forums I'm going to ask the question here and hope. I'm trying to fish up Helmet Crabs in W. La Noscea. I just got Gulleye. I believe I should be fishing in Skull Valley but I have no idea what bait to use. One area close to the Tidegate doesn't like ANY of the baits I currently have. (goby ball, crayfish ball, moth pupa, lugworm, bloodworm, midge basket, pillbug) Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Got loads at the same fishing hole you get the dagger-fish for lv.15 or 20(?) guild quest. The one you get the dagger-fish from. Same bait (rat tails) and all.

Yeah, pretty sure the only place I've caught Helmet Crabs are at the lighthouse area in Western La Noscea. They bite on Rat Tails and Crab Balls.
