No cursor in fullscreen mode

Many people have this problem mainly on windows vista and windows xp. Turning off mouse pointer options such as "display pointer trails" and "cursor shadow" ect under mouse properties in windows control panel does not fix the problem. Do you have any idea of a solution Square-Enix? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

Steps:
1. Change game resolution to fullscreen while using windows vista.
2. Mouse cursor disappears and becomes unusable.

- Type of internet connection/provider: cable / comcast
- Modem maker/model number: Unknown.

I can theoretically use the cursor when I manage to get it over a button. What is of course pretty hard because it is invisible. When I move my mouse the cursor sometimes even gets visible for a split second.
