game tactics
First i need to say that i'm enjoying the game right now, it has its bad & good points and i'm optimistic is going to grow in the next months...
but sometimes i miss my ffxi life as a Bard. When i was in a party people had some expectations, they wanted a good bard. I had to pretend that every member of the party was in the right position accordly to their jobs. I had to keep the right timing to always provide refresh to the mages and paladin, attack buffs to the DD, elemental resistance debuff before the BLM's magic burst. I had to run all the time during the fight to manage my aoe...that was hard but really motivating. I felt like i was doing my job in the right way.
That's why i think this game needs some new quest\event\content party oriented, not only "end game", where players HAVE TO fulfill their roles.
I want quests where you have to fight different type of mobs and you NEED a GOOD GLD to tank, a CON for buff, cure and nuke against mobs with high phisical def, need a THM to support heal, debuff, absorb, need LNC and ARC to pierce, need PGL to crush some bones, a MRD to spam some damage. I want new skills that requires the right timing and position, i want to see party members manage some Battle Regiments. I want some contents where ppl need to say "ehi guys, we need a [GLD|THM|CON|PGL|MRD|ARC|LNC], a good one"!

It seems like they've got this sort of thing in mind. There have been dev posts suggesting that they want to make the current jobs more unique, and want to make combat more tactical.

I want to see more tactics, good items in battle, combining skills between different classes to create a powerfull attack or buff, incapacite mobs with specific skills or combinations, be able to freeze, more mobility in battle to evade or run if the mob is slow, etc..
