Server lock ups

So I would like someone to answer this. Hopefully a dev. But if servers are locking up already and the game hasn't launched yet? I'm in behemoth and I have several people that want to play on that server but it's looked on open beta and now early start. Are these servers that are locked going to be unlocked at launch or are people already looking at server transfers?

All of the phase 4 characters are still on the servers, I think, including people who have not bought/will not be buying FF14

Once there's some sort of plan on clearing out inactive beta account characters it'll free up, or they'll probably adapt the server hardware to allow for a larger capacity, or the initial launch frenzy will die down, peak traffic will stabilize, and it'll be safe to open the floodgates.

Just a guess, though.

They are working on the problem now, hopefully they will fix it. Oh, and when they go back up. When you try to log into the server and it says you are in the que, just wait you will be able to get in.

I am worried about it. I talked my friends into getting this game and had them join the FC I met on Behemoth. They pre-ordered it and now can not join me and the group of online buds we already know from vent and FCsite chat. So the question, will they get tired of trying to make a character and not pick the game they reserved up or will they spend 40/30 bucks on a hope that they will eventually get on. They don't have tons of cash so it is not a question I want answered. FIX THIS SHIT.

Love the game, it would just be better with RL friends and FC friends combined :/ and for sure a more long term purchase.

Same here on Gilgamesh . I created my character on the wrong server and ive stayed up almost 2 days just hitting refresh to get in. This is really deppressing.

I guess they will not change their servers for a better thing. Most likely will wait until people give up playing lol
This launch reminds me of Diablo 3 fail launch

The issue with the servers is this, Square is expecting both NA and Eu to share servers, instead of giving both they're own. This is a HUGE problem, as both of these regions, are MUCH larger then japan is, so forcing them to share worlds, and an instance server, is causing servers to lock, prevent character creation, and causing the current issue everyone is having in game right now.

NA and EU need their own servers, both for worlds and instances.

As I said, the problem is that there are not dedicated servers for both NA and EU. Common sense should have told square to give EU and NA separate servers. If they had done that from the start, we wouldn't be having this issue.

Ya instead of asking people to move they should be offering char transfers cuz now what was the point of open beta if they want you to get up and go to another server. And this is all before an office launch. Square Comon now you should have been ready for this.
