Character creation lock - Need official answer ASAP

Dear Square-Enix,

Could you please give us more information about this "Locking system" you are using that prevent players that actually bought the game to play with their people. I find this very, VERY frustrating to know that my friends are currently playing and can reconnect to the locked server with a VERY small queue (or sometime no queue at all). For me, this mean that the server actually don't have so many ppl trying to connect to it.

Also SE did you think about server transfer? Could you please communicate at least something? I won't make an character on another server and never know if I can play someday with my friend! For me it's a complete waste of time like waiting in-front of a screen and hit refresh button.

Unfortunately I cannot google well on my phone. There is an official post saying server xfer will be available shortly after launch (square Enix time is unfortunately longer than shortly).

They lock servers and reopen them every few hours. I would just keep checking back.

Paid server transfers will be 2-3 weeks after launch. That being said, you will likely not be able to transfer to a server where they are not allowing the creation of characters. I'm in the same boat as you, I feel your pain. I have a few friends who convinced me to join them, I agreed, and I still can't play on their server (Hyperion). An official response to this would be nice. If they don't open up character creation on that server within the next 2 weeks, I will be moving on from ff for good.

Have patience. As everything balances out I'm sure they will unlock the worlds.

they lock servers for character creation while there are so many in the starting zones, as those zones clear out new characters can be created, people logging in with already created characters are generally not in those base starting zones

I'm so unlucky, got a tell that the server was open but 2 minutes after I log in it's closed. Square-Enix, could you please say something about this situation, this is going to waste my day -_-'

Bump, looking for an answer. Also I think we are not so many in this situation, because the forum and twitter is not so much crowded! At least give us an answer Square-Enix, it wont take so much of your time.

My GF and my cousin are waiting all day long for being able to create a character in Gilgamesh so we can all play together.
I don't think they'll look at this issue within EA.
