Will there be a race change option in the future? starting a new character and redoing everything seems boring... so it would be nice to just be able to change
There will be a paid race change in the future.
Also, when you subscribe for 30 days your characters will be given an items allowing you to change their race once. See: FFXIV veterans rewards.
