1.0 CE non-legacy on PC, what happens now? PS3?

I thought I understood all of this, but now I'm incredibly confused. Please help!

I am a 1.0 CE PC player, and I did not get the legacy status on my account. My character did transfer onto the legacy servers in the beta, but I don't think that means anything.

From various SE pages (especially this one), I believe I get full access to ARR, with my 1.0 CE items as well as the CE items for ARR. It would make no sense to buy ARR CE for the PC since I already bought 1.0 CE.

I played in Beta 3 and Beta 4 on the PC (less than 24 hours in the latter due to 3102). My original understanding was that I would get early access, but apparently not, given that page I just linked. Is that correct?

I do not own the game at all for the PS3 right now. If I were to pre-order the PS3 version on PSN, or Amazon, right now, what would happen? Would I get a code in time for early access?

If I do get a PS3 code, would it link to my same "service account" or create a second FFXIV service account under my SE account? Put another way, would I be able to play the same characters on my PC client and the PS3, and would I be able to use my Beta 4 character on the PS3?

If you buy it on PSN it applies preorder benefits automatically. You'd probably get a code quickly from Amazon but then you'd have to brave SE's buggy website which might give you a bad PSN code.

And you can link your PSN to your 1.0 service account fine and be able to play your character(s) on both platforms.

I am 1.0 an not legacy as well.
I got no early access.
What I did was preorder the game on SE's site anyway. "Even though I already bought it, I bought it again"
Then I logged into my existing 1.0/open beta account and used the code I just bought.
Now I am in early access.

If you want into early access and you are not legacy, you have to preorder the game.
Then you redeem the code, by following the instructions.
(The redeeming is buggy, just keep trying if you get an error, it took me like 20 mins and 50 tries, before it worked)

After you redeem, you get another code.
You log into the FFXIV launcher and use that code, when you are prompted for a code.

v 1.0 CE will give you 2.0 CE items from the 27 like everyone else that got CE (both v 1.0 & v 2.0)
v 1.0 none-legacy won't get EA, correct, sadly you will not be playing until the 27th
regarding pre-order on PS3 I can't say ... like i can't say on the other pc vs ps3 matter

That is correct if you order it from PSN or Amazon right now you will get the early access. You can link it to your current service account. The Playstation Network Account needs to be bound to your SE account. Yes can use the Beta characters.

Thanks for the help! So the big question is - let's say I preorder on PS3, on Amazon, get a code right away, and apply it. Great, I can play on the PS3. Will I be able to play Early Access on the PC as well? That is what it seems like most of the other threads are about...

Good to know! I just purchased on Amazon, got the early-access code, entered it on the SE site, and got the PS3 download code. However, the PC client still says "no valid account." Is that the general problem that everyone is complaining about right now?

That will remedy itself once you actually play on the PS3 version. Should update the PC account. At the moment the circumstance is as you stated.
