As the title states, sometimes you can click login and the site will log you in without inputting your user name or password. This seems strange. If anyone can answer why this is that would be awesome

Sounds like you have a cookie stored on your computer that has your login information. - Best guess
It's just your cookies that have saved.
If you close a web page and open it back up, you're technically still logged into it unless you log out or delete your cookies/temp internet files (This resets when you restart your computer.)
Some people have their browsers clear cookies upon closing etc.
You got nothing to worry about in other words. (Unless you're on a public computer, then make sure you LOG OUT of the service when you're done.)
Cookies store your session info. "PHPSESSID" cookie to be precise.
You can also run the browser in Inprivate mode which does not store cookies.
Its because you agreed to allow the NSA to log you in.
