Will my account be locked?

Hi Folks. I have stupidly used my SE account login on 2 different pcs already. My newly upgraded PC will arrive tomorrow. Meaning i will get the message of "somebody" hacking my account for a third time when i try it on my upgraded pc.

Will this result in a lockdown state, in which i have to contact the support?

If so i will play on this pc(which will piss my wife off but well what can i do ;) ? ).

Or will i just have to change my password again? I really dont want to risk to not be able to play with my early access tomorrow.

If anybody knows, please let me know if there is a limit of how often you can change your password.

That is a tough one. I would contact support ahead of time to make sure. Their email response time sucks though so I would do it right now and you might get an answer by tomorrow.

I have had my account locked out three times now because of logging into my account from my home, then my office, and back again. Each time it simply required a password change via a link sent to the email address registered to the account. At no time was I required to contact support. Hope this helps.

If you have a smart phone you could add a security token software app for now and remove it at a later date i don't think you get suspicious activity messages for logging into different locations then because only the account holder has the security app.. i could be mistaken though. I've never had a suspicious activity message on mine and i have the dedicated security token if anyone else could confirm this it could be a solution?

That could be it to. I never received the error when I had the physical token attached to my account. Once I removed it in an attempt to add the software token, I started to get the error (without a token attached to the account at all).

I was hit with this on my ps3 yesterday. (bought a new ps3 between Phase 3 and now)

A quick pw change and I was all good. Should note, however, that this only changes your square enix account password, and not your square enix social account (the one associated with pre-orders) password.

Or, like above posters have stated, you can download the 1-time pw app onto a smart phone. But I did this with SWTOR and then accidentally dropped my phone in a sewer. That was a fun day...

I don't know this for sure either, but I believe you're right. I've had a security token on my account since they first came out with FFXI, later switching to the software token and I log in on 2 different computers at home (same IP though) and at work and I've personally never had a problem.

Recommend adding a token as soon as you can! (your account must have the actual game registered to it to do this though and currently that 1.0 people only. Pre-order code isn't enough, you need the actual game code added to your account that comes out on the 27th).
