Can we upgrade a standard PC boxed version to Digital Upgrade?

Is there any way to do this?

I believe that you should be able to do a Digital Upgrade once the FFXIV Service Center (aka Mog Station?) is ready.

It does say that you only need the base game, not necessarily the digital download.. :3

I hope so, because its to much of a mission to change to the Collectors Edition now, since I have already paid for my boxed PC edition standard, that is why I am hoping that they will allow digital updates.

I was able to confirm with care that you can in fact upgrade at the Mog Station (once up) any version of the standard version rather boxed or digital. However,I just ended up cancelling my standard copy and ordering digital CE from Amazon (the exact amount for standard and digi upgrade) plus $10 Amazon credit which I hopefully can apply to a prepaid subscription card.
