Moving to other areas

In Gridania atm - just wondering how and at what level I will be able to move to other parts of the world? I'm currently physical level 8.

You can do that at your current level, just head as far south as you can in the Black Shroud and you will get to Thanala (and Ul'dah).
In Thanala head west and you can take the ferry to Limsa Lominsa.

Also you can find another player and have them party up and teleport you to any area they have unlocked. No exploration though.
