Exactly what gear is dyeable?

As the title says. All I can find anywhere is sites saying "Not all gear is dyeable", or "Only certain armors can be dyed.", but don't give any specifics.

Does anyone know how to tell exactly what's dyeable and what's not dyeable? Knowing how to tell would save a ton of money at the Auction thing.

Green quality gear, which you find in the dungeon, is not dyeable.

All craftable gear, aside from weapons and accessories, I believe.

I think MAYBE non-green/blue dungeon drops MIGHT be dyeable. I'm not positive. I know no green/blue dungeon drops are dyeable, but green crafted gear IS dyeable.

So since all crafted gear is dyeable, I'll be targetting it a lot.

Uh..... how do I tell if an item is crafted, aside from crafting it myself? Is there a special icon, does it say "Crafted", etc?

Dyeable gear has a small colored circle in one of its corners. You can easily notice it on a lot of pre-dyed gear you obtain from quests.

Most, if not all, white-quality armor can be dyed. I can't remember if pink-quality items (Aetherial X) can. But I know for sure, though, that green quality armor cannot be dyed; it usually has distinctive models to make up for it

This only applies to non-crafted gear. Even green quality crafted gear can be dyed.

But yes, any piece of gear that shows the 'color indicator' can be dyed. Eventually unofficial (but still reliable) databases will be up to show what items are crafted and which are not.
