The link says the problem was identified for users who purchased from PSN during certain dates. Well I purchased from Amazon in June and I have the same issue (an EU code even though I used the NA link to redeem my code).
That's a good news guys !
It wiil be great if someone can take a photo of that announcement and post it here. Because I'm not at home now and can't log into my PS3 for 8 hours. :)
