Crystal Object/Person inside The Praetorium

At about 8:50 in the Dungeon Crawler part 2 video, there a crystal object/person being guarded by a robotic arm.

Anyone know what or who that might be?

Especially with the roboic arm.

Hmm I see multiple arms and two faces, I'm not sure, I'm gonna mull over this during the night and then wikia in the morning, can't wait to see if anyone finds anything by then.

It's clearly a Magitek experiment room. Also the arm/leg isn't guarding anything lol it broke out of the container, probably a new prototype Weapon. Not totally sure if that's a door or what, might be some kind of container for a Ceruleum crystal in the middle.

I'm going to make a very wild guess and say that maybe the Garleans are trying to make "weapons" and those are one of its legs and the core.

Definitely, after all with Cid now with the City-States -- Nero is now in charge of the Magitek and Machina. It'd stand to reason for him to have his own experiments or be creating new Weapons to go with Ultima Weapon already being brought in.

Does anyone feel like that its Gilgamesh?
The multiple arms have me thinking that it's him.
Maybe the Garleans are keeping him contained until the right time?

Just wanted to say thanks to all the loremongers. Been a lurker in this section of the forums for a couple months. Appreciated much of the information that gets passed through here. Makes me remember why I love FF so much.

Oh my. I just noticed it now when i clicked that Gilgamesh picture. Hes holding Neal Van Darnus weapon! The laster spear!!!

i rewatched the cutscenes for the praetoreum and it's just a highly reinforced door like the one you need "Maggie" to blow apart. Before fighting Gaius....

Specifically, it's just cermet, a composite material made of ceramic and metal. Do we know why they just started using odd shapes of cermet for doors? Why not shape it to something more obviously Garlean in nature?
