Drop in FPS
Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is a known issue or an individual issue, so I thought I'd post here.
My machine's specs are:
-GTX 670 video card
-I5 - 2550k processor
-8 gb memory
Benchmark is a little over 11k.
The game runs flawlessly on the maximum settings at 60 fps in most areas, but after about an hour, the screen goes black for a couple of seconds and my FPS drops to 20 for about 10 minutes.
This was during beta phase 4.
Does anyone know how to fix this or is this a known problem they're working on?

Sounds like it could be temperature related. Run the benchmark in a loop a few times and see what your temps are.

Yeah as Karishin said, this sounds like your card is overheating. So you may want to obtain some temperature monitoring software to see how hot your card is getting. With your specs and for the score you are getting it does sound like your system is overclocked, so this will increase the heat that is being given out as Final Fantasy XIV is also very CPU & GPU heavy.
So there is no game fix that will stop this from happening, unless you lower the settings of the game itself.
Sorry for the bad news.

Thanks guys!
Interestingly enough, it hasn't done it once during early access and I left the PC on all day. :) Very happy right now, hehe.

''This was during beta phase 4. '' so your not playing the retail version? Anyway.. If you have the same problem, update your Video card drivers, if that doesn't work, your GPU is fried, or overheating.
