When do we start paying them?

Beginning of Early Access or at launch?

Everyone gets 30 days free by default. Whether or not your first sub payment is due 30 days after EA or 30 days after launch, I'm not sure.

(My assumption is that it's 30 days after launch, seeing as we still have another code to access the game after launch day.)

So it works like a trial period?

30 days free is pretty much the de-facto standard for all P2P MMOs. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a "trial period" because you still have to buy the game, but it's somewhat like that.

EDIT: Unless it's a legacy account, where you have until Sept. 9th free until your unused sub time starts ticking away again, as per the post below. vvv

Version One accounts do not get 30 days, the get till September 9th. ~14 days.
