Hey guys,
i bought and registered a collectors edition when FF14 was at version 1.0. Is it possible to play my ARR PC CE account on PS3 with a standard edition disc?
Greetings,
Vael

It's possible, but I can't tell you how it works exactly. You probably have to log in using your old account and add the PS3 code as a service option.
I think there was a sticky in the beta forums about it, but... there's no way to check them now. So unless someone else can give you a more detailed answer, you might want to contact the SE support and ask for some quick instructions. ^^
Correct. When service starts up, just add the PS3 game code to your service account, and you'll be golden.
I don't think there should be a problem. It is just important that you need to have a PS3 copy of the game to play on your PS3. The accounts for PC and PS3 are the same.
You can noproblem just need to remember to buy the PS3 version (best tip on PSN since the disk will be useless)
Yeah, I did this with Beta 4 and it was only a matter of logging in with my SE details then it asked if I was sure I wanted to enable the details on the PS network. Did so and was able to play old 1.0 legacy on ps3 and my PC.
Note: You can only link one PSN account to a FFXIV service account. So when you're linking the PSN account, make sure you link the right FFXIV Service Account. This is really only if you have multiple service accounts for 14, if you only have the 1 service account you should be fine.
I'm doing the same thing. I downloaded my standard edition for PS3 last night, it gave me the option to link to my service account after download completed.
On another note, they made the character that I kept on my old JP server as the primary character on my service account rather than the one I transferred to a NA server (which used to be listed as primary), but I don't think it really makes a difference... I hope it doesnt
