Hello hello, new future paladin here glad to be apart of the team. I've played a tanker in most MMOs and love the role.
Out of curiosity there's been a lot of debate of stat point distributions, what do you guys think are most beneficial? Straight VIT? Is the damage reduction increase from STR worth taking?
Excalibur paladin here. Can't wait to get started tanking all these new dungeons/instances. Saturday morning can't come fast enough.
Can't wait to play Paladin! Haha, that Leo armor looks badass too! There's just something about the sword + shield combo! And it's kind of cool how the boss/monsters have their focus on you. Like you're the more dangerous opponent or the one they have to keep an eye on. Ironically, you're not the one who's doing the most damage but who cares! xD
Hello! Soon to be Paladin on the Phoenix server! Been tanking in games for a very long time and ARR just seems to have that epic feel to it! Can't wait to lift something heavier than a tiny sheet of iron!
I personally plan on straight VIT allocation purely because you can find strength gear to top all that up, always nice to have more HP :)

Hi,Balmung server Paladin here.always loved paladin and forever will cause i really enjoy tanking and sword and shield combo is just awesome!
still not sure where to put my points but i tend to go the vit route since we aint goin for much dmg when shield oath is up anyway.

I was a Paladin in 1.0, but with none of my friends playing back then, and so many of them joining up now, we had decide to roll on a new server rather than a legacy server.
To answer the above VIT vs STR, while I prefer while tanking to go VIT as in MMO tanking HP is typically king, in 1.0 I had to nearly go all STR because threat was a major issue if you went VIT instead. I didn't get to the higher levels of gear in 1.0, and I didn't have any heavy darklight, but in the gear I did have with +Enmity neck and melds, I still needed roughly 2:1 STR to VIT to not be pulled off of. Hopefully that wont be the case in ARR, but it might be something to look at.
Level 50 PLD here... However, I have betrayed you all and also have level WAR to 50. I am a horrible person. Please forgive my betrayal but I need it for tanking purposes....or so my linkshell told me. I feel ashamed!
