Question on today's 1.0 character transfer post

So they just posted "news" on transferring your 1.0 character. What it didn't reference was if you'd be able to import the characters made with the benchmark. Anyone know about this?

If you're wondering if the character data you have created will be usable in the game client, check this page out http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/benchmark/

It clearly shows (at the bottom of the page) a screenshot with the save prompt reading "Save appearance data? This data can be used in both the benchmark and the game"

they've just been really screwy on some of this stuff so I'd like a confirmation from a dev or something

So do you mean using this character data specifically with the character transfer (as opposed to creating a new character)?

i would guess you copy and past the character file from the benchmark to the actual path the client uses for character save data. thats what im gonna do since im gonna go highlander.

if it dont work just get some paper and write down everything in the editor.

They really aren't. People just keep saying they are.

ARR should look in the proper folder by default. Just like the benchmark looked in the proper place for phase 3 and 1.0 appearance data. Phase 3 also looked at the right place for 1.0 appearance data.
