System Error -2146697208

I am a 1.0 user who has already registered their beta key and downloaded the beta launcher from the beta forums. After the install, I go to start it up and I am immediately greeted with,

"A system error has occurred: -2146697208"
"https://secure.square-enix.com/oauth/ffxivarr/startup/top"

The launcher then immediately closes itself afterwards. I have deleted and re-downloaded the beta many times and restarted my computer many times to no avail. I have run a full systems check on my hard drive which took about 4 hours and still the same problem.

I run a Windows XP and the benchmark said my setup is excellent and I meet the system requirements for this game.

I have already posted on the beta forums and there has been no response. I called the SE support and after an hour on hold I was told they could not help me, go to the beta forums.

If there are ANY devs out there reading this, *please* assist!

- go to My Documents → My Games and delete the FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn (Beta Version) folder.

Once the folder is deleted, restarting the client should allow the game to update successfully.

Try that. It has worked for people with similar problems.
