Free Beta key for PS3

Hello,

Just in case some of you don't know, the German SONY Facebook is giving some Beta codes for PS3: https://www.facebook.com/PlayStation...96557&app_data

and it does work, installed it yesterday now ready for the week-end ;)

Interesting, this is indeed legit. Just got the codes for both PSN download and to register beta to SE account. The question is, will the PS3 client be region locked, since this was a german promotion, I wonder if the code only lets you download the german client.

I downloaded it with European PSN account (French) on a Japanese PS3
Installed and updated fine, now need to see tomorrow if it connects but seems ok

What is this archaic device u speak of? This P.. S.. 3.. ? O.o
Does it run on windmills and the power of water?
Or is it powered by something.. More sinister?... >.>

but I though it was worth sharing ;)

now no more dual core piece of crap for my gf's account. ps3 and lappy :D

When I click the beta code link on the facebook page it says "Sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" :|

I got a ps3 key through a website and registered it to my SE account, but I never did get a psn download code. Did you guys get that one through an email or were the two paired together?

My PS3 code was paired with a beta code in one email which looks just like this:

The PS3 promotion code is what allows you to do the DL on your PS3, after linking your PSN to your SE Account. The beta key is good for PC or PS3. If you were already in the beta you don't even need to register one.

I've been in Beta since day one as Legacy so never was prompted to enter the Beta code included in my PS3 Beta email.

By the way, I did not obtain a code via the method in this thread. Just wanted to explain ^^
