Need help, I bought the original...

I'm sorry if this comes up somewhere else, but I've spent 2 hours looking back and through the forum and I can't see anything similar.

My dilemma is that I bought the original FFXIV v.1 pre-order the collectors edition etc etc, I cancelled in less than a week. I then came back after about a year, and tried to play again, I lasted 2 weeks but found it painful still, so I cancelled yet again. I liked the sound of FFXIV: ARR, so I was willing to try it for a third and final time, like a month before the V.1 servers went down, I stayed til the end this time.

So on to my point, do I need to do anything to ensure I will get on FFXIV: ARR? Should I have some code? Where do I download the new version from/will this information but out soon? Or do I have go out and buy a new copy (I don't like this option to be honest), I'm sure there is plenty more questions to be asked about this, like how come I didn't get into the Beta phases, but alas that isn't really important at this stage all I care is gaining access to FFXIV: ARR when it comes online late August.

Hope someone can re-assure me at this point...
