A question about servers

This may seem like an obvious question, but I would rather be sure and get it right, than be wrong and end up on a server I don't want to be on.

If I am currently on the server I want to be on, do i need to take any action to remain on that server?

i.e. I was on Ragnorak 1.0, do I need to do anything to be on Ragnorak 2.0 - or will I just remain there when I finally start back with ARR ?

Yes you will remain there.
If they do decide to change this there will be a notice on the loadstone.

If you do nothing you will stay on whatever server you were on before.
