What do you want from the Companies?

I was wondering if the Companies system would be like Campaign from FFXI. Not a carbon copy but something like it and then made even better.

I hope it makes the camps we have like Bloodshore, Horizon, Broken Water and so on come under attack from Beastmen and other unknown foes and we have to fight to keep the camps under our control. They could incorporate Behests to be kind of an attack mission on the local Beastmen stronghold. While a camp is under our control we could have bonuses for Leves there and maybe decreased anima cost to teleport to it, things like that.

We could run supply missions to the camps to deliver supplies to top up our defences and boost our NPC forces or even our own troops.

Gatherers could infiltrate their stronghold to steal resources maybe, or miners could dig away at their foundations and botanists could chop down wooden supports. Not sure how fishing would work with that though, steal their food supply of fish from the pond???? lol

Crafters could make weapons and gear for the NPC troops and also carry out repairs on it too.

The possibilities are endless really and I am really excited about it as SE seem to think it is something they are going to be proud of.

I just wish I had a clear idea of what they are. Everytime I hear or read something concerning them, I get a different idea of what they are suppose to be.

I SO agree with this. Right now we have no real idea of what it will be. If companies are getting closer to become live we should be already receiveing some more info so we could start tossing real feedback regarding features.

i'd rather having no surprise content because devs were releasing info over time than having a bad surprise when we see the companies system.

OP, you pretty much described what I want from the Company system.

At first I thought they were going to be like actual guilds players ran (like clans) similar to FFXII/ tactics, and you would be able to take on missions exclusive to your guild, but now i'm not sure what to expect. It would be nice if they worked the same way as clans do in Ivalice Universe games though, complete with having a guild exclusive, possibly instance "mog house" / HQ of sorts.

I like all of the ideas you have posted, to the point of having suggested similar concepts in other posts.

I would like to see the utilization of the hamlets in addition to the camps as places where these types of events take place. Currently camps see a fair bit of activity (some camps more than others, clearly), but the hamlets are pretty much ghost-towns except for the occasional class quest.

Hamlets were supposed to be used for Hamlet Defense events, but I havent heard anything about those in quite some time.

Airship and battle airship skywar fighting with dragon 'A' make cannon and missile that show when long time ago to hit something big 'A' like can aim boss with cannon or missile that come from craft to make boss damage and have little one attack ship and sometime have ultimate attack from big boss fighter over ship must hide inside before it land or died 'A'r and from that move make ship damage so need crafter fix the ship when fighter fight for protect ship from little one until cannon or missile kill boss -3-....
