Unsolicited Submissions
Hi everyone,
yesterday i found this "Unsolicited Submissions" on the german Square Enix site by coincidence (link goes to NA Version).
Just wanted to share the info that something like this . . well, exist . . for those who make / made Ideas for FF XIV ARR.
But i must say that i have no idea on how much (if at all) this effect the Forum Post in any way.
Thats all.

I'm pretty sure that's if the owner submits it to square enix as an idea (which they say they don't do anyway, so you'd have to corner Yoshi P or some other insanity that won't warm them up to the idea), but yeah, if you're looking for a job and/ or accolades, you'll have to do the resume and interviews and legwork like most everyone else.

Dont add an idea you want to keep as yours once you submit it they own it if they want it, all companys do that.
also means they didnt ask you for anything you GAVE it to them for anyuse no strings attached.

Policies on unsolicited material are not only common-place but just plain smart on any company's behalf which releases any material that one may consider intellectual property. The reason being is protection.
If some crazy loon walked in and said "I think it would be a great idea if Hildebrand had the power to turn into a unicorn!" I'm sure SE would usher them along their way and say "yes yes that's nice, we'll think about it"
Then, if a year later, Hildebrand suddenly had the power to turn into a unicorn and our crazy loon had the ability to prove he provided this idea to SE, he could sue them... unless of course they had a legally binding policy in place regarding unsolicited material in place.
My point: I'm not surprised they have such a policy.
