'Hot Topics' working improperly ?

'Hot Topics' section displaying old threads.

Details: On the forum top page you can view popular threads which have been viewed the most within a recent time frame. However, this thread is currently showing up as a hot topic, but there haven't been any new posts since a year ago. I'm not sure how this thread could get so many recent views without any new posts. It seems like something is not working properly, or maybe I just missed something.

Steps:
1. Click 'Forum Top' link.
2. Look at 'Hot-Topic' section.
3. Old thread appears without any new posts.
