Lore Forums: Shouldn't this be in game?

Fernehawles and his fellow workers have done a great job of compiling interesting and diverse lore that lies behind everything we see in a game. And these forums are great.

However, I was always a bit sad that most of the lore in FFXIV lies outside the game. Think Limsa, with its powerful fleet of ships, of which the Maelstrom is but a part of a part... Where is this in game? Nowhere! Not even a particle of a letter. You'd have to read the lodestone to find out about it.

While naming conventions are great, none of this is in the character creator. Must we peruse the forums before deciding whether or not to make a silly, original or lore-based name?

Again, there is an important idea of a library that has already been proposed to put in lore for the people who want to get really detailed, but let's not let the quests go light on lore. There should be a nugget of lore goodness in every quest and the world should reflect the lore behind it.
