The beta starting today is pretty much public knowledge, so it doesn't break the NDA...

As for the question, yes, (closed) beta has started today.. Didn't you notice the lack of people whining on the forums? :)

The lodestone front page, which is publicly available, states beta starts 25th of February.
The 43rd letter of the producer, which again is publicly available, also states beta starts the 25th of February.
There's also a plethora gaming sites which state the same thing, so saying when beta starts/started isn't exactly breaking any NDA's :)
