Considering that the beta test feedback will give many aspects of the game polymorphic properties, I view VALID criticisms as nothing more than constructive building blocks which will be used to make the game better.

I'll have to disagree with you on this point. His quotes make it clear that he does not worry too much about the specific comments. What he sees as a good thing is not the content of the 'feedback' but that there is so much of it. He's using the amount of feedback as an indicator of how much interest there is in the game.

Exactly. Good or bad he sees the feedback about the game which is why he's not worried about specific content of the feedback but that they're both.

If no one gave feedback, then he'd have been worried. This is why I said "emphasizes again", because he's said it before he wants to see both positive and negative feedback because only looking in one direction was the reason SE has to remake the game in the first place.

They wouldn't be Alpha/Beta testing if he didn't care at all about what people were saying, he's just not focusing on every single comment made, especially asinine ones about non-issues.

Nova Crystallis: I have a friend who played the original quite a bit and he enjoyed the combat system and toward the end, the higher level challenges. So he’s kind of worried – he wonders, “How is this going to appeal to me?”

Yoshida: Rest assured, come Phase 3 [of the beta] you will be able to bring in your level 50 characters into the game. I know there’s some people who’ve seen the alpha version are saying “Well where’s the regular combos, and I want to see more challenging techniques to be present in the system.” But it’s alpha and only up to level 15, so I deliberately didn’t bring in the complicated systems at this stage because otherwise it would scare off all the new players. So don’t worry, when the game comes out there will definitely be more challenges to be had.

But of course, I’m happy to hear people are really liking the 1.x version because we did put a lot of effort into updates.
