Beta Key Registration Error

Ok, i have for some reason have two FFXIV Accounts on my SE account, so when i received the Beta Key today, in my haste, i registered it to the wrong, inactive account, NOT the Legacy account which is still active.

The accounts are listed as this:

Final Fantasy FFXIV ( Legacy Account )

Final Fantasy FFXIV 1 ( Cancelled non Legacy account )

Did i exclude myself from Beta access or is there a way to rectify this?

Hehe, I did exactly the same thing. I emailled the support team and got this:

"Dear <hide my name!>,

Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.


We are very sorry to hear that you accidentally registered the wrong account in the Beta test.

We have forwarded the issue to our head office to see if there is a way to transfer the Beta service to your active Legacy account.

We will contact you as soon as we have an update regarding your situation.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

Same thing happened to me. Glad you got a reply about the matter Fantasia, as I'm currently still waiting for a reply to the email I sent about the issue.

Took about 20 minutes, I didn't expect a reply at all, to be honest!

We can still reactivate the other account, but obviously won't be able to use our Legacy chars on phase 3-4.

Glad to hear i'm not the only 'excitable' person here then ^^

Hopefully they will be able to sort it out, there must be some sort of plan for things like this..i would like to think.

Edit to say, i sent an email a few minutes ago, so i am encouraged by the reply you received Fantasia.

I had one for the initial Beta which I never used. When I actually started playing properly last year it wouldn't let me use it (No idea why). So made another, which turns out to be account #2, which is why I assumed my main was #1 and assigned Beta to it... =/

When you got the real FFXIV code in 1.0 it allow you to make your beta account into a real account. But i ended up not doing that so it made a account 2 just like yourself :) Later on i may chat with SE and ask them to delete it for me.
